In addition to 1080p HDTV resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9, the KDL 40EX500 has a digital tuner and 100 Hz Motionflow technology to render smooth, crystal-clear pictures. The zoom mode and image presets guarantee perfect results even at every time, no matter the show you're watching. 

Meanwhile, the total 20W sound output of the integrated speakers and S-Master Digital amplifier plunge you right into the heart of the action. What's more, when it comes to connectivity, the 40EX500 is equipped with four HDMi sockets for hooking up your Blu-ray disc player and HiFi system.  

That's not all though! The Sony KDL40EX500 also gives you access to the internet with the BRAVIA Internet Video function, so you can enjoy using YouTube and Daily Motion on a big screen.
